Structure of the LED panel

The front of the LED panel contains the modules that display the screen, while the back is the heart of the panel, with the receiving card, hubboard, and power supply. These three components are essential for the LED panel to operate efficiently and reliably. The receiving card processes the data, the hubboard distributes it to the modules, and the power supply provides the power needed for the entire system.

Receiving cards
  • Roles

The receiving card is the brain of the LED panel and is the critical component that processes the video data. It receives the data sent from the main controller and sends it to each LED module for output to the screen.

  • Features

- It receives the data sent from the main system and converts it into signals that the LED module can understand.
- Control display-related settings, such as the panel's resolution, colors, and brightness.
- For large displays with multiple panels connected, the receiving card is responsible for determining what portion of the full screen each panel displays.

Hubboard
  • Roles

The hubboard is the intermediary between the receiving card and the LED module, allowing data to pass from the receiving card to the LED module.

  • Features

- Distributes the data received from the receiving card to multiple LED modules.
- Pass data evenly between modules, and maintain connectivity so that panels output consistent images.
- Typically, a single hubboard connects multiple LED modules.

Power Supply
  • Roles

A power supply is a device that provides the power required by an LED panel. A reliable power supply is essential for LED modules, receiving cards, hubboards, and more to operate smoothly.

  • Features

- It takes in power and converts it into power that can be used by the LED panel to power each component.
- It maintains the reliability of the power supply and also performs protection functions to prevent damage from overload or overcurrent.
